What can I say but "Thanks"

V60, you and I had some good times. After 2.5 years of faithful service, it kills me to tell you that I have to let you go. It's not you, it's me. You've given me great coverage. I've enjoyed countless hours of video poker with you. You got me through my 8 month stint in Denver. I don't know if I could ever adequately thank you for all your hard work. But here's the thing, I'm starting to look for more from my phone. I'm not talking about a camera, because you and I both know cell phone cameras are junk.

I just want all the little things: a robust address book, calendar capabilities, syncing with my computer, etc. I'm not a big ring-tone guy, but I'll take some fun ones if they're being handed out. I send and receive a lot of email... usually nothing important, but might as well have a phone that does that, too. So I'm making the leap all the way to the Treo 650. This phone is gonna shepherd me into the 21st century, hopefully. I might never use the camera, or play MP3's from it, but I think I like to be invited to that party, even if I won't attend. I wish you the best, though, V60. Let's stay friends :-(

Tom Brady's secret isn't out yet <p> How did Jets fans feel when their star quarterback, Joe Namath, pitched pantyhose and wore a fur coat on the sidelines?... The Patriots award the best parking spot at their practice facilities to the player who works the hardest in the preseason, and it's been Brady's spot for the last few years. But Tom's a bit more stylish than the members of the team's blue-collar fan base.... You can almost picture him going home to Bridget Moynahan after a tough practice, throwing on "Trouble Me", cracking open a pint of Häagen-Dazs, and having a good cry.... I highly doubt that this is the actual list he listened to before the big game, b/c you'd think his real list would include more profanity and base.... The guy could wear a prom dress for his post-game press conferences (which Kordell Stewart's stops just short of doing when he raids Mr. Rogers closet looking for a sweater).... It's just that, it'd be a little sweeter if he seemed like he was one of us. That being said, now that talk is heating up about his post-football career in politics, he can totally repair any of his reputation's damage by running for senator as a Republican.... It'd be a riot, if he ran in Massachusetts (though he'd probably run in California, where he's originally from) to see folks forced to choose between their love of high taxes and their football savior. I guess if Reagan, Weld, and Romney can win around Boston it's not a lost cause. </p>

The king of the club... soda <p> I'm a guy who likes a good glass of milk, particularly early in the morning or late at night. But I'm not always in a hurry to order one at a restaurant, or to stock my fridge full of it, because, as Chevy Chase once said on SNL, I know that a single glass of delicious, ice cold milk in the summer can give you a quick heart attack if you drink it too fast. Since I don't do soft drinks, and it's not always appropriate to order a scotch or a beer, I've experimented with all sorts of alternative beverages. I'm getting so that I like a nice cup of herbal tea in the morning. But when I plop down on the couch after my long commute home, my new favorite sipping drink is club soda. It's got a bit more flavor than simple water, but it never fills me up. My friend Randall pointed out to me once that a lot of people will drink a club soda on an airplane when they wouldn't normally (Lisa is one of those people). I noticed a few weeks ago at my local Safeway that a 2 liter bottle was $0.89 so I decided to give it a shot. Now I'm hooked on the stuff. </p>
