I like to tell people that my name should be much more famous than it is. Everyone can tell you exactly who invented the telephone, but few people know that a dude named Alex Bain invented the fax machine... and he did it before the telephone had even come along.
Also amazing is that he is credited as being one of the father's of modern logic. In college, I nearly majored in logic, and at one point seriously considered studying abroad in Scotland. At the time I didn't know that my eponymous forefather had already paved the way for me over there. Pretty cool, right?
I think he looks fantastic with those sideburns I think the closest I've ever come to such sweet facial hair would be Christmas of '03.
