I've recently changed my approach to training runs.
You can see from the chart below, I ran very little for the first 5 months of the year. Then I started training for the half-marathon. The pace of my runs initially goes up as the mileage does, because I had to run slower to do the long runs. Then it starts to come back down, before spiking up when I ran ~100 miles in December.
I believe I can train to run a 4 hour marathon keeping most of my runs conversational and enjoyable.
This is going to be fun.
