My friend, Keoni, got married this past weekend. He and his wife, Stephanie, really put on a heck of a party. It was at Pebble Beach, which made for an absolutely storybook setting.
I really like that I'm getting to a point where my closest friends, people that are around my age, are getting married, because, the more people you know at a wedding, the more fun it is. Attending a wedding can feel like more of an obligation than an opportunity, but that was not the case this weekend. Lisa and I were counting down on our calendars until we could fly out West and catch up with all our old San Francisco friends.
The morning of the wedding day is a stressful, emotional roller-coaster for the bride, but it's a chance for the groom to relax with his buddies. My friend, Jeb, hosted a big basketball tournament for all the men attending the wedding. That was a great idea. Keoni set up a couple of tee times at Spanish Bay, a gorgeous course in the area. I think the two best events for male bonding are golfing and watch baseball, so I'm going to make sure I incorporate at least one of these in my wedding.
Really, your friend' are looking very beautiful and the Keoni's groom is looking so gorgeous......
